For this reason the use of short-lived organic based disposable roofing materials (that accounts for 5% of total waste in our landfills) is diminishing.

Metal is North America's most recyclable material. More metal is recycled than paper, glass, and plastic combined. As a result, using metal saves landfill space and natural resources.
